The Rest of the Story
"A Vision Come True"

Many years ago God called me into ministry. I knew that it would focus on abortion and healing from abortion but I did not have clear understanding of what the ministry would involve. I do know however that God was calling me to lead an organization of women hurt by abortion (post abortive women) in pro life activism. I know this because of a vision that I had nearly 12 years ago. This vision was of thousands of women wearing black mourning and wailing over our children lost through abortion. We were walking down what I believe to be Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. Many were pushing empty baby strollers, many crying, many praising the Lord for his incredible mercy, grace and unfailing love. I also had a

vision of speaking in front of a large body of what appeared to be lawmakers.

I believe these visions will come to pass and I believe that it will be done through Redeemed for Life. In the meantime, God has given me much work to do as mentioned in my bio.

How did I come up with the name Redeemed for Life? Well, if you will allow me to take you back to 2003 when I was moving towards incorporation. The Lord had provided me with a helper by the name of Amos Martinez. Amos and I belong to the same church. He was very familiar with my testimony and had witnessed God moving in my life. I had asked him to head a fund raising committee to raise money to send myself and 4 other women to Washington D.C. for the first Silent No More event. Amos prayed about it and the Lord told him that there was much more to what God was calling me to do and more that he wanted Amos to do to help me. When Amos and I got together to talk he told me everything that the Lord had revealed to him as he was praying. Everything he said was confirmation as to what the Lord had revealed to me in the months and years prior. So, we began to organize this ministry.

What to name the ministry was a long difficult process. I wanted a name that would reflect what God wanted for his children, especially the children that were wounded from abortion and other painful experiences that tend to keep his people in bondage, thus Living the Redeemed Life was chosen. This, to me, reflects that we are not only redeemed from sin and the shame and guilt thereof when we are in Christ Jesus, but we are to live a life proving our redemption. Living the Redeemed Life is a long name and does not reflect everything that our ministry encompasses. So, I put out a request for a name change at my previous executive board meeting. My Administrative Assistant, Vivian, came up with the name Redeemed for Life after she and her pastor were praying about it. We were all excited about this name because not only does it reflect the spiritual side of our ministry but it also reflects the political and social side.

Living the Redeemed Life Ministries, Inc. is our legal name and we will work under the assumed name (dba) Redeemed for Life. There you have it.
